Ethan Harrington

is the Co-Founder and Principal of 221b Consulting and is responsible for all operations of the company.

Prior to founding 221b Consulting, Ethan held roles with increasing responsibilities as Director of Insurance, Integrated Risk Management and Corporate Security at H&R Block, Managing Director of Corporate Insurance & Risk Management at Charles Schwab, Senior Claims Representative at Gallagher Bassett and Complex Property Coverage Claims Representative for Farmers Insurance.

Ethan has a reputation as a creative groundbreaker designing, developing, and implementing complex corporate insurance, enterprise risk management, crisis management and business continuity solutions.  These solutions maximize opportunities for the organization and reduce expenses associated with unexpected operational outcomes.

Ethan holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Kansas.  He also has Bachelor of Arts degrees in Business Administration as well as Managing Information Systems from Ottawa University.

Lisa Huhman

is the Co-Founder and Consultant of 221b Consulting. Lisa is a leader in digital health with a track record of bringing emerging healthcare technologies to life, she has excelled in building impactful partnerships, designing virtual care programs, and guiding the adoption of digital health tools. Lisa’s experience spans clinics, hospitals, and primary care delivery models. She is also adept at identifying key features for early-stage healthcare tech companies; crafting compelling market strategies and navigating potential pitfalls.

As a futurist, Lisa anticipates the evolving landscape, helping organizations seize opportunities and navigate potential threats, strategically preparing them for the future. Holding bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biomedical engineering from the University of Missouri, Lisa brings a unique blend of technical acumen and strategic thinking.

Consultant

Mary Roop

Mary Roop

has over 15 years of insurance experience, with 9 of those years spent in corporate insurance and risk management.

Most recently, Mary has held the Risk Manager title with which she was responsible for the renewal and placement of professional liability/E&O, property, and casualty policies and programs. She was also responsible for assisting the Director with the renewal of Cyber and D&O programs.  As part of her role as Manager, she has held officer roles with the captive insurance company and licensed insurance agency, both wholly owned subsidiaries of the parent company.  Prior to this role, Mary’s background in claims brings additional perspective and value to the renewal process.

Mary is a licensed producer and holds an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation.  She graduated from University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a B.S. in Financial Economics.
